Orlando receives about 85 million visitors each year. The great state of Maine is the real "Vacationland" though. It even says so on their license plates. Gritty McDuff's has a microbrewery and a few brew pubs in Maine. They make a summer ale that is appropriately named "Vacationland" and it's one of the best we have tried. It's described as an Extra Special Golden Ale that's light in color but full-bodied, with a snappy hop finish. They use generous portions of pale malt with just a touch of wheat malt to give it a
unique flavor that's richer than most summer brews. We just got back from a trip to Maine. One of the highlights of our trip was the time we spent in Bar Harbour and Acadia National Park. The picture below was taken at Cadillac Mountain a little before sunset. We took the majority of a sixpack up with us and enjoyed "Vacationland" while looking down at the Porcupine Islands. It was an evening we won't soon forget. Check out Maine, Acadia, and Gritty's if you have the opportunity. Its well worth the trip!
