There's a lot of fun to be had by beer lovers this January in Orlando. Redlight Red Light is having "Vintage Fridays" each Friday this month. They will tap a rare keg of vintage brew from a previous year. The taste of high alcohol beers improves with age so this will be a real treat for any "Big Beer" lover!
Also, there are three local World of Beer locations that will be sponsoring Tap Takeovers. Be sure to check out Orlando Beer Guide's calendar for more details on these special events as well as the latest on weekly specials at all your favorite craft beer spots. Cheers! We want to thank David from Taps From Scratch for having us down to his warehouse yesterday for some fresh local beers and good conversation. Taps From Scratch is a local company that rents and sells "Pub Hubs". We think there are a couple of very cool things about Taps From Scratch. First, the fact that they cater to individuals who drink "good" beer. A "Pub Hub" is definitely not a kegerator. It can hold 2 to 4 slim kegs of quality beer and also store frozen glasses, botlled beer, soda, ice, liquor, etc. Second, is the fact that the company is promoting the idea that it is much more cost effective to drink beer by the keg as opposed to the bottle or can. Depending on what you are drinking, beer by the keg can cost about half of the price as it would by the bottle or can! Taps From Scratch is a pretty cool concept that we can't say that we have seen before. Keep them in mind the next time you are having a party in Orlando or looking to save some money on beer. www.tapsfromscratch.com |
