Oblivion Taproom is set to open at 5101 East Colonial Drive. From what we have read and heard this place appears to be everything a great beer bar and grill should be. Great beer, great food, and great conversation. Most importantly, there will be no annoying TV's and no loud music. They will feature a thoughtful selection of 40 craft beers on tap and lots of bottles too! On top of all that, Chef Goody has put together a menu of burgers and bar favorites like you've never seen before! Sounds like an ideal atmosphere to enjoy a craft beer and a burger. You can check out their menu and find out more about Oblivion Taproom at their website http://www.obliviontaproom.com/index.htm.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! Just got back from Oblivion and have never felt compelled to write a review of a restaurant/bar. My husband and I met 2 other couples there for dinner at 6:30. Left Oblivion at 10:00. In that long span of time were served only 2 beers each and waited almost 2 hours for our food. Got many appologies over this time period, but service never got any better. Just as we asked for our check and to cancel our food order, our food was conveniently ready. Only 1 out of 6 of us liked our meals. I got a cold quesadilla that I brought most of home so I could heat it up here. My husband got an extremely overcooked(supposed to be medium) burger. When our bills came there were no comp's like you would expect when waiting so long and getting so many appologies for everything from the wait staff. We talked to the owner and got a lousy 15% off the bill which came to a whopping $5. We only got that after asking for a comp. All she was going to offer us was an empty appology and excuses why things went wrong. After all was said and done my husband and I paid $41 for 4 beers, 1 overcooked burger, and 1 cold quesadilla. Will never go back again. Sadly, we weren't the only customers unhappy tonight. We overheard at least 3 other tables speaking with the waitresses and sending food back. We were definitely not the only dissatisfied cutomers.
